A two-digit growth in hotels in the first half of the year
Hungarian hotels achieved double-digit growth in the first half of the year: the total gross turnover in the hotels in Hungary was 17.4 percent, 19.9 percent higher in Budapest and 14.9 percent in rural areas than last year, according to the most recent analysis of the Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants Association (MSZÉSZ), sent to MTI.
According to the analysis, the hotels’ gross room prices increased to 104.57 billion HUF, with the total gross hotel turnover rising to 179.13 billion HUF. The hotels in Budapest in the first half of the year achieved a 12 percent higher, 58.8 billion HUF gross total room income and 91.36 billion HUF gross total turnover, which is an almost 20 percent increase.
