Israeli scientists plant date palms from two thousand year old seeds in Israel
Israeli scientists planted six date palm trees from the seed from Jesus’ age.
Professionals hope to be able to grow a date palm on male-female seeds found in the Judean desert that King Herod had eaten two thousand years ago and sent to Rome to the imperial court.
Seeds named Adam, Jonah, Uriel, Boaz, Judith, and Hannah were discovered in various archaeological sites, then germinated in South Israel and seedlings were grown from them. (MTI, Shiri Zsuzsa)
