Bird flu has appeared in two new counties
The laboratory of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) also detected the presence of bird flu in Fejér and Hajdú-Bihar counties. The stocks are being liquidated. Adherence to epidemic prevention regulations is still extremely important.

The H5N1 subtype of the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus was identified by the Nébih laboratory in the settlements of Mezőfalva in Fejér county and Hajdúnánás in Hajdú-Bihar county. Avian flu was suspected due to neurological symptoms, decreased feed and water consumption, and increased mortality in the 17,000-animal liver duck farm. The disease was suspected due to the decrease in feed and water consumption and egg production in the breeding duck farm with 23,570 ducks. The affected stocks are currently being liquidated.
The authority designated protective zones with a radius of 3 km and surveillance (observation) zones with a radius of 10 km around the farms
Nébih would like to continue to ask for the cooperation of livestock keepers in maintaining increased epidemic prevention discipline. Given that the disease appeared scattered in the country, the role of wild birds in the spread of the epidemic is now probable. In high-risk areas of the country, it is mandatory to keep poultry kept for commercial purposes indoors, and to feed and drink poultry kept indoors for non-commercial purposes. In other areas of the country, poultry must be fed and watered indoors. Feed and litter must always be stored in a closed place.
