The golden jaundice disease endangers two more wine regions in Hungary. The government agencies have begun the assessment of the level of infection and making steps necessary for the elimination of the disease at the Villány and Soproni wine regions.
In order to prevent the spread of the golden grape jaundice (flavescence dorée – FD) the infected plants, and the vines with the symptoms of the infection should be destroyed in a 1 km radius – the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) told MTI on Wednesday MTI. (MTI)
