Retail sales rose in Russia last year
Last December, retail sales growth was higher than expected, while unemployment stagnated as expected.
In December last year, the country’s retail sales grew by 3.1 percent year-on-year after the 2.7 percent growth in November. Analysts expected a somewhat lower growth rate of 3 percent in December.
In Russia last year, retail sales increased by 1.2 percent, after falling by 4.6 percent in 2016 and by 10 percent in 2015. (MTI)
