Double-digit sales growth for grocery stores in March
In March 2020 like-for-like retail volume sales grew by 4.4 percent; adjusted for calendar effects, the sales growth was 3.5 percent – reported the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Food and food-type retail sales soared by 12.7 percent. Sales were up 0.5 percent in non-food stores. Motor fuel sales fell by 16.7 percent. In January-March 2020 retail volume sales were 7.2 percent higher than in the first three months of 2019. //
