The chairman of the Fiscal Council expects a two-three percent increase in the future
The GDP growth can be close to 3 percent this year, in the future 2-3 percent annual economic expansion can be expected – Kovács Árpád, chairman of the Fiscal Council (KT) and President of the of the Hungarian Economic Association said at the Hungarian Financial Almanac conference on Thursday in Budapest.
He explained that the GDP in the first half of this year grew by around 3 percent, after the 3.6 percent growth of 2014, but in the second half of this year a slowdown was experienced, while in the next year the economy may grow around 2-2.5 percent. The annual growth in Hungary is slightly below the regional average, but far above expected the EU average – he said. (MTI)
