Metro AG cuts jobs in Germany
Hundreds of jobs will be cut at cash & carry wholesale hypermarkets in Germany over the next two years in an effort to increase profit, Frankfurter Allgemeine said, citing a management letter to employees.
There is a reorganisation plan for
Metro Cash&Carry, in the future company focuses on HoReCa sector.
The layoff begins in November, the first people will be fired from
the administration area.
According to Metro company plans to
sell some Real shops and it is possible to market the Galeria Kaufhof
chain.
