Two and a half billion HUF was seized at a meat company, due to VAT fraud
The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) has seized two and a half billion HUF at a hypermarket chain’s meat supplier, because despite its significant turnover the company filed VAT returns worth zero – NAV’s Central Hungarian Regional Tax Directorate told MTI on Saturday.
The action group of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) seized documents, at the company's site and at the residence of the representative of the company.More than eighty people were interviewed. The inspectors of the National Food Chain Safety Office seized the significant part of the 672 thousand kilograms of meat stock, because the warranty of the products has expired. (MTI)
