Business sentiment in the euro area is on its 2.5 years nadir
The business sentiment indicator fell to the two and a half year low point in the euro area in May – shows the data of the German Sentix economic research institute, published on Monday.
The index is declining now for the second consecutive month, it is the lowest since September 2009, when the crisis was still raging.
The composite index is minus 24.5 points in May, after the minus 14.7 points of April, and it is significantly worse than the minus 15.7 points expected by analysts. (MTI)
