The cherry pálinka of the year is being prepared
Twelve premium pálinkas will be included to the special blend of 2013. Hungary once again jointly prepares the pálinka of the year, this time with sour cherries. The experts of Hungary’s pálinka jointly juried the premium items of the distilleries. The special blend can be tasted by the audience of the Budapest Pálinka Festival.
The main attraction of the event will be the cherry pálinka of the year, which is produced from the best cherry distillates of the country's pálinka distilleries. The jury selected the best entries with blind tasting, the judges are masters of pálinka themselves; Rádai Erzsébet from the Zwack Pálinka Maunfaktúra, Vasas Beáta from Schiszler Pálinkaház, Berkes Géza from the Harmatrázó Pálinkaház, Békési Zoltán from the Békési Pálinkamanufaktúra and Márton András from Rézangyal. The blind tasting was supervised by the main taster of Rézangyal; Borbáth Gabriella.
Finally the pálinka of the year will consist of Schiszler, Márton és lányai, Villányi, Békési, Rézangyal, Gusto, Hírös, Csalló, Harmatrázó and Újfehértói Fürtös pálinkas.
