Glass recycling equipment is ready at Aldi
ALDI Hungary is ready to redeem domestically marketed products with a redemption fee. The department store chain has completed the installation of reverse vending machines in all its stores.
ALDI Hungary implements sustainability and environmental protection measures with pioneering measures, in many cases without legal requirements or obligations. The company was the first food retail chain in Hungary to switch its entire network to green electricity from 2017, together with the E.ON Group, it is building one of the largest e-charging networks in the country, and with the solar panels installed in its 18 stores, all ALDI stores in Hungary produces approximately 2.3% of the store’s annual energy needs without local CO2 emissions. ALDI was also the first retail chain to deploy an e-truck to service its stores.
