Swiss chocolate manufacturers closed a bitter year
The crisis affected badly the turnover of Swiss chocolate manufacturers: according to the trade association of manufacturers; for the first time in six years, the sales volume and revenue also decreased.
According to the datas of Chocosuisse – came out on Wednesday; volume decreased by 5.9 percent to 174,109 tonnes, while revenue decreased by 6.4 percent to 1.702 billion francs (1.160 billion euros), because the customers preferred cheaper chocolate types.
The chocolate factories sold 6.9 percent less domestically and 5.2 percent less abroad, but improvement is expected this year – reports privatbankar.hu.
