Bitter sugar confectionery: price increases are to come
In times of the crisis chocolate improves mood, but the producers are threatening with world price increase, because the sugar and cocoa prices rose into the heavens on the world market.
The sugar reached its 28 year peak and cocoa rised to its double over the past year and a half.
According to the most recent datas, in Hungary the annual turnover has reached 65 billion HUF while sales continue to move over 28 thousand tonnes.
According to the International Sugar Association the demand will exceed supply with million tonnes in the 12 months ending in September 2010, so it is imaginable that the price of the product in the near future will continue to rise – reports Világgazdaság Online.
