The impact of black Friday can be detected in the domestic e-commerce, but for the turnover of traditional stores it is still not has such a great effect in Hungary to quantify it – Vámos György, Secretary General of the National Trade Association (OKSZ) told MTI.
For nearly fifty years, Black Friday – the 24th of November this year – is traditionally the start of the Christmas shopping season in the United States, when merchants are offering special discounts.
In Hungary, the impact of black Friday is higher in Internet commerce – Vámos György said, noting that several companies had already started the action earlier. According to estimates, e-traders can earn revenues between 5 and 10 billion forints. (MTI)
