Mangalica ham is popular in the United States
According to Tóth Péter President of the National Association Mangalica breeders; On the basis of sales, the turnover of the Hungarian mangalica ham can reach 1-2 thousands in the U.S. this year.
The President – who is also the Executive Directorof Olmos és Tóth Kft is – said that the Hungarian mangalica ham is sold through the Spanish company, Monte Nevado in the American markets, from New York to San Francisco. A three-year old 4 kilogramm mangalica ham is around 500-600 dollars, which is about 100 thousand HUF – reports MTI-Eco.
