More convenient payment options and new features are coming to BudapestGO

BKK is constantly researching customer needs and adapting its developments in light of feedback to make public transport more attractive to as many people as possible. The application is now rolling out long-awaited updates from December 15 to 16. Thanks to the development, the application will support the use of Apple Pay and Google Pay, making it even more convenient to purchase passes and tickets. Users do not need to enter separate bank card details, and payment can be made quickly and easily with just a few taps.

The new features also help with route planning: from now on, the application marks flights with front-door boarding with a clearer, uniform green arrow. Thanks to this, it is already visible when planning where it is necessary to show the ticket or pass to the driver.

The menu system of BudapestGO will also be renewed: the menu item previously called “More” will be renamed “MENU” and will facilitate everyday use with a clearer structure and more logical layout. For example, “Purchase and payment” will be placed in a separate section, and it will be possible to save the ID numbers required for travel (such as student ID). The “My Notifications” menu item will also become more clearly arranged, and the “Information and Help” menu item will also be more logically structured and divided by topic, helping you navigate.

During the development, from 10 p.m. on December 15th until approximately 7 a.m. the next day, December 16th, customers will not be able to buy passes or tickets in the BudapestGO application, and there may also be disruptions in the route planning function. After the updates arrive, users will need to log in to the application again. The new developments coming to BudapestGO will gradually become available to all users within a few days.

Helps 1.5 million users travel monthly

One ​​of the most popular Hungarian-developed applications has already had more than 4.1 million registered users, and an average of 1.5 million people use the application during their travels per month. BKK customers have planned 5-5.5 million routes per month, and nearly 180 million in total since its introduction.

To ensure that the latest developments always appear in the application, it is worth selecting automatic updates in the phone settings menu, so that the application’s new features will always be available in the future.
