It is hard to ban the consumer groups
The Economic Competition Authority (GVH) fined consumer groups again: Standard-Company Kft. was fined to 1.6 million, Invest Holding System Kft. to 5.8, while the Mutuo Risparmio Szolgáltató és Tanácsadó Kft. was fined for 3.2 million HUF, because of their misleading ads – writes Népszabadság Online.
With the recently imposed 10.6 million HUF fines, the total amount is nearly 160 million HUF that the GVH recently imposed on businesses organizing consumer groups.
The GVH and the PSZÁF urging policy makers for already a decade ago, to do something with the consumer groups. The Orbán-cabinet decided to enter into long inter-ministerial consultations over the prohibition of the consumer groups.
