The Agricultural Marketing Center will once again participate with an independent community stand at the Gulfood International Food Industry Exhibition in Dubai, one of the world’s most significant food industry business events, between January 26-30, 2026. The Hungarian stand will feature 17 domestic food industry enterprises, as well as the Hungarian Food Business Program (HFBP). The significance of Gulfood goes far beyond the Gulf region: its reach covers the entire MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), from Africa to India.

Due to the extraordinary interest, Gulfood, which will be held for the 31st time in 2026, will be held in two locations: in addition to the usual Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai Expo City will also host the exhibition. The World Food Sector – including the Hungarian community stand – will be located in the Expo City area.

17 Hungarian food industry companies will be presenting themselves at the 168 m² community stand of the Agricultural Marketing Center, with a wide range of products ranging from quick-frozen vegetables and meat products, through functional foods, beverages, beekeeping products to health-conscious products. The aim of the participation is to strengthen the international visibility of the Hungarian food industry, build new business relationships, and support a long-term presence in the Middle East and MENA regional markets.

The event is a prominent meeting place at the intersection of East and West, where in addition to the presence of international buyers, the traditionally strong re-export activity of the United Arab Emirates further increases business opportunities. This year, around 8,500 exhibitors from 195 countries will participate in the exhibition, and the number of products presented will exceed one and a half million.

Gulfood is not just an exhibition, but also a complex professional platform: its accompanying programs include, among others, the YouthX Young Chef Challenge cooking competition and the “Innovation Awards” Innovation Award competition presenting the best food industry novelties and developments.

Following Gulfood, the Hungarian Food Business program of the Agrármarketing Centrum will organize a B2B event in Kuwait City on January 31 and February 1, 2026, with the participation of 12 Hungarian food industry manufacturing companies. On the first day of the event, three local and international experts will provide a comprehensive overview of the specificities of the Kuwaiti food market and the operation of the HoReCa sector, after which representatives of Hungarian companies will make a professional visit to the leading food chains – Sultan, Lulu and Monoprix stores. Hungarian products for export include various functional drinks, canned foie gras, and frozen ready-made meals.
