Beekeepers expecting favourable world market prices
The demand and the world market price of honey is favourable: so in the case of adequate rainfall Hungarian beekeepers can expect a good year; currently the biggest problem is that the country has reached its beekeeping capacity limit – said Bross Péter the President of the Hungarian Association of Beekeepers at an event in Kaposvár on Saturday.
At the 14th Transdanubian Regional Beekeeping Meeting hundred exhibitors and more than three thousand beekeepers participated from all over the country.
Bross Péter told to MTI thatthe agricultural administration changes did not bring substantive changes in the lives of tha about 15 thousand beekeepers. As explained in the last few years, the number of Hungarian beekeepers has increased – not that this activity would have the promise of extra profit, but rather for the economic pressures of living – reports MTI.
