Positive changes in the meat sector
The European Union’s new budget period starts with positive signs from the meat industry’s perspective, so the task is to make use of available funding with the greatest efficiency – participants agreed at a meeting of NAK’s meat processing department. Head of department Antal Németh was of the opinion that in the years to come we should separate abattoirs from processing plants, because international experience is that slaughtering is cheaper this way and processing can produce constant good quality if focusing on fewer products.
