Positive experiences during the winter food inspections
5045 tests, 6.2 tons of withdrawn products, 69 warnings, 21.6 million HUF fines in 145 cases are the results of this winter’s seasonal controls.
The control series were coordinated by the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) and were conducted between 1 and 31 December 2014 across the country.
Traceability problems were found at 1.7 percent of the food products. A year ago this proportion was higher; 2.5 percent. 1.5 percent of the examined 18,826 food items were withdrawn from the market, this quantity was 6.2 tons.
