Trade association: a favorable decision was born
To extend the reduction of the Value Added Tax (VAT) to other basic food products is a right decision – Vámos György, Secretary-General of the National Retail Federation (OKSZ) told MTI.
The Secretary-General of the OKSZ said: the traders will pass the reduction of the VAT rate to the customers, as they did it in the case of pork as well. However, the decline in consumer prices should be compared to prices in December, which may be higher or lower than the current one, depending on the circumstances of the development of agriculture – he indicated.
