Agricultural products can be dried at a discount gas price

Due to the wet autumn the harvest of corn, sugar beets, soybeans, sunflowers are still at the beginning, almost half of the potatoes were harvested – according to the informations of the National Agricultural Chamber. (NAK)

The corn, sunflower and soybean yield will be dryed later than usual, with a higher moisture content than usual this year, so it is doubtful that drying will be completed until December, for the time the required quantity of gas will be available on a discounted price. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture asked the Hungarian Energy and Utilities Regulatory Agency to extend the use of the discounted quota’s deadline to 31 January 2015. (by our colleague)
