The Milk Marketing Board urges reduced VAT
The chairmanship of the Milk Marketing Board Interprofessional Organization states in a press release that the situation is hopeless in the dairy sector, due to this year's drought.
The lack of basic feed, the unpredictable rise in feed prices, the decrease in purchase prices and the decline in milk production subsidies caused a huge loss of income, which predicts a new a crisis. The unpredictable changes in the Euro exchange rate and the import pressure on the dairy products market can lead to the collapse of the whole industry.
