Federal government funds coffee capsule recycling scheme
The Federal Government has approved funding for a coffee capsule recycling scheme led by Planet Ark Environmental Foundation.
A contribution from the $20 million National Product Stewardship Investment Fund will be used for the development of the stewardship scheme for all coffee capsules nationwide, raising recycling rates and reducing organic material in landfill.
The fund forms part of the Australian Recycling Investment Plan and National Waste Policy Action Plan to increase recycling rates, tackle plastic waste and litter and halve food waste by 2030.
