Catastrophic wheat crop in France

French farmers are desperate. They are calling up the newly created local helpline, because the worst wheat crop of the past three decades makes their livelihood hopeless – agrarszektor.hu wrote.

Although the end of August there were no final figures, the French Agriculture Ministry forecasts that due to the huge spring rains, the worst wheat crop of the past 30 years is expected this year, which may be 40 percent below the average of the 2011-2015 years.
