It would be a disaster for the British food industry to miss the trade agreement
It would have “catastrophic” consequences for the British food industry if Britain would quit the European Union next year without a trade agreement – according to the comprehensive study of competent committee of the British Parliament.
The 38-page analysis released on Sunday by the Lower House’s Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee (BEIS) shows that 50 percent of the UK’s total food and beverage industry’s exports are targeted at five countries, four of which are members of the European Union. (MTI, Kertész Róbert)
