Carrier and style: related notions
Karrier és Stílus Kft. held a conference about the notions used in its name on 11. December. Mrs. Csík dr. Klára Kovács, managing director of Karrier és Stílus Kft. spoke about the complexity of the topic and the diverse aspects which need to be examined. Career is a subjective notion with a different meaning for each of us. She emphasised the importance of recognising the difference between important and insignificant things. Career and style includes many things apart from dressing and appearance, like communication skills and behaviour. We need a mirror to show us which areas need to be improved. Presentations dealt with the current employment situation and outlined the characteristics of typical employees in the region. The career planning system of Raiffeisen Bank was also discussed. Informal discussion among the guests showed that careers are different. Unfortunately, success is often envied in Hungary, without regard to the obstacles which had been overcome along the way. Failure is more fascinating, often accompanied with delight in other people’s mischief. There are no recipes which guarantee success. Participants in the roundtable discussions have all accepted major changes during their careers. They have found the .way to success which gives them self confidence and they enjoy their work. The way we dress is an important element of building a career. This is why a fashion show was held as the conclusion of the event., with managers of the participating companies acting as models. Melinda Csík, a stylist employed by Karrier és Stílus helped models to select the items which were best suited to their personalities.
