Czech hotels receive compensation from the state for their losses
Czech hotels will receive compensation from the state for the losses they suffered during the coronavirus pandemic, the Czech government has decided.
The amount of compensation per room and per night (day) ranges from 100 to 330 crowns (1350-4455 HUF) depending on the classification of the accommodation. The aid is received by the operators for 72 days, i.e. for the period during which they were kept closed under a government decree. Government compensation does not apply to Airbnb-type accommodations. In the Czech Republic, accommodation was closed from 14 March to 24 May due to the pandemic. (Kokes János, MTI)
