Nébih : 2.2 million lab tests

The Special Affairs Directorate of the the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) carried out 351 checks during its one year existence, actions were taken in the case of about 1,630 tons of products.

710 tonnes of these products had to be destroyed. The Special Affairs Directorate of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) imposed 141 million HUF fines and found 7.5 billion HUF worth tax evasions – Kardeván Endre, Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM ) responsible for food chain surveillance and agri management told on Thursday.

The laboratories of Nébih carried out 2.2 million lab test, during the checking of more than one million items. (MTI)
