Pepsi gets thinner?
Beaten in the race by Coca Cola, the loss-making Hungarian Pepsi is considering the transfer of production.
The Mineral Water and Soft Drink Industry Ltd. (Pepsi Americas FÁÜ Ltd.) has been almost continuously making loss for years. The Coca-Cola's success lies in the excellent marketing and also defeated its rival in production efficiency, after an ultra-modern factory has been built in Dunaharaszti. Benedek Péter, one of the owner of the Aquarius-Aqua Ltd. confirmed one of the ongoing negotiations, the fact that the Buszesz Pepsi Food Ltd. group would like to take over the production of certain Pepsi products. The Aqua-Aquraius / Buszesz Group estimated to be the second largest participant in the Hungarian mineral water and soft drink industry, with national logistics system and a large filling capacity. The HR manager of Pepsi Americas Ltd. confuted the fact of the negotiations.
