Christmas rush: MOHU prepares for the holiday season with increased capacity
During the end-of-year holiday season, not only does the gift-buying fever and family preparations intensify, but the amount of returned beverage bottles also increases significantly. To address this, MOHU, a key player in the domestic return system, is introducing special measures between December 9, 2024 and January 12, 2025.
The company has developed a festive schedule for the end-of-year period, as part of which trucks transporting returned bottles and cans will be waiting with extended opening hours across the country between December 15, 2024 and January 12, 2025. MOHU’s sorting centers are also open on weekends, ensuring that returns continue smoothly at REpoints – writes Pénzcentrum.
Due to the expected increase in traffic, MOHU is conducting preliminary stock surveys in stores. In addition to accurately measuring the number of bags and seals used to collect beverage bottles and cans, stores are being assisted by installing additional glass containers. These measures will help ensure that the return system operates smoothly despite the increased traffic.
MOHU employees will also be actively working on Christmas Day, December 24, 2024: their trucks will visit more than 200 stores in the morning to collect returned beverage bottles and cans. This special attention from the company is aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of the return system during the holidays.
During the holiday season, stores are also working with increased readiness in order to be able to handle the increased volume. Close cooperation between MOHU and stores is key to maintaining the efficiency of the system.
