A christmas-themed time travel – Video of the day

Tesco launched its 2019 Christmas campaign, which ties in with the retailer’s 100th anniversary. The advert tells the story of a Tesco delivery driver, Joel, travelling through time to deliver Christmas food throughout British history after getting caught up in some Christmas lights. The van first travels to Dickensian England, before delivering Christmas groceries to the likes of Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth.

In the advert, Tesco highlights it has been ‘delivering Christmas for 100 years’. The advertisement upholds a food focus, showcasing festive products including mince pies, turkey, pigs in blankets, cheese and wine. On its online store, Tesco offers the option to ‘Shop the Christmas TV advert’, where shoppers can purchase products featured in the ad.
