Christmas spirit even during the preparations: Zewa tips
A holiday is truly a holiday when it shines – that is, when the home is clean, beautiful and homely, and of course when we don’t have to work so hard that we don’t feel like celebrating. Zewa’s Christmas tips will help you to use simple and practical solutions to make the preparations even more festive.
Burden sharing
It’s easier for everyone if you divide the tasks among many people, and everyone feels better under the tree if they think that they did their part in the preparations. “It’s better to give than to receive” – this also applies to the period of decorating the home.
Share your strength!
You don’t have to do everything at once. Make a plan, prioritize the tasks, and have a plan B in case you don’t have time for something: don’t leave the most important thing until last.
Natural cleaning products
Sustainability starts with using natural (basic) materials whenever possible. Vinegar and baking soda are excellent limescale and grease removers – the former is also great for cleaning grout – and lemon juice is easy to use to remove stains from kitchen counters. It doesn’t matter what the person cleaning is breathing in, and of course, the others, and the environment will thank you if we use fewer chemicals.
Let it sit!
If it’s burnt on, if it’s dried on, if it won’t come off: soak it in and wait a while. Baking soda or salt water can work wonders – more with your mind than with your strength. If it’s been soaked for a day, you can scrub it with a dishwashing sponge, and often a wipe with a paper towel is enough.
Pay attention to the smells!
When you think back to your childhood Christmases, the first thing that probably comes to mind in your memories is probably the smells, along with the colors. Make this Christmas unforgettable with some cleverly placed natural scents: cloves stuck in orange peels, apple slices, vanilla pods, spruce branches – they are not only visually appealing, but they also make the atmosphere festive.
Have you not used paper towels until now because you didn’t want to increase the amount of waste with a single-use product? Then we have good news: forget about it!
Zewa’s new Wisch&Weg paper towel can be used up to three times, can be moistened and wrung out, can withstand rubbing, does not fluff/crumble, and is compostable: it breaks down into natural materials, so it can really go in the compost (as long as it has not come into contact with non-compostable materials, such as chemicals or oil).
In addition, the TAD hot air production process also provides unparalleled moisture absorption, which you can now see for yourself.
