A campaign was launched to promote Hungarian cheeses
A campaign to promote handmade cheeses made in Hungary has started under The Hungarian Cheese is Good title. At the press conference of the initiative on Friday in Budapest the potential of wine-cheese pairings was also highlighted.
Sándor Tamás, the leader of the Bükk Cheese Manufactory, recalled that the Hungarian cheese culture can be traced back to the end of the 19th century. At that time, mainly Hungarian cheeses were made from sheep’s milk, initially led by Swiss, Italian and Dutch cheese masters. (MTI)
