Chamber of Commerce’s little smart guy helps producers involved in farm transfers
The National Chamber of Agriculture has prepared a guide for its membership on farm transfer. The detailed flowchart and information sheet present the most important steps and deadlines for farm transfer in an easy-to-understand manner.
One of the most pressing problems in agriculture is the aging of the farming population. Act CXLIII of 2021 on the transfer of agricultural farms aims to ensure the most successful implementation of generational change. The aim of the legislation is to simplify the transfer of farms, enabling all elements belonging to the farm – land, other real estate, movable property, property rights and company shares – to be transferred to the producer taking over the farm in a uniform manner, in a “package”, in a transparent and accelerated procedure.
In order to make the process of farm transfer as easy to understand as possible and to ensure that the process runs smoothly, the National Chamber of Agriculture has prepared a detailed guide for its membership.
A flowchart compiled by NAK experts shows the steps required for farm transfer and their deadlines. In addition, a “questions and answers” information sheet is available on the NAK portal, which helps to navigate the most important issues with a practical approach and clear answers.
Farmers can contact NAK experts with any questions they may have regarding farm transfer at the e-mail address ugyfelszolgalat@nak.hu. In addition, village economic advisors are also available to answer questions regarding farm transfer.
