At the initiative of the Chamber, it will be possible to employ foreign seasonal workers
The amendment to the government decree, initiated by the National Chamber of Agriculture, allows harvesting works. This will be of great help to the horticultural sector in particular in mitigating the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
As a result of the amendment to the government decree published on 6 May 2020 at the initiative of the National Chamber of Agriculture, in addition to the previous cross-border commuting, seasonal workers from neighboring countries can also take part in domestic harvesting, provided they have a medical examination before entering and no suspicion of coronavirus infection was identified.
