JYSK: Every year, nearly HUF 30,000 is spent on home furnishings
For the vast majority of Hungarians, 80 percent, it is important for their home to be homely and comfortable, 53 percent are satisfied with their current apartment, and for almost 70 percent, their home is the place where they can relax the most – revealed the representative research of the JYSK store chain. On average, the respondents spend nearly HUF 30,000 per year on home furnishings, with members in their 30s spending the most – nearly HUF 40,000 per year – on this. Few people buy home furnishing items in preparation for the holidays, and among the various accessories, candles are most often added to the baskets: 22 percent buy them 2-3 times a year.
More than half of Hungarians, 53 percent, are satisfied with where they currently live, and among men there are even more people who evaluate their current living environment positively. For many, home is a place of relaxation: according to 69 percent of those surveyed, they can really relax in their apartment. In addition, 55 percent of Hungarians believe that there is enough space in their home for everyone to be able to connect, and, unsurprisingly, most people who live in a family house agree with this – it was revealed from the representative research of JYSK, which looked at the living conditions of the 18-65-year-olds, home furnishings examined his habits and spending.
The survey also revealed that for the majority, 60 percent, it is important to be able to host your family and friends in your home: women and members of the older age group, 50-65 years old, mostly agree with this.
