Consumer sentiment in the United States improved in June
As in May, consumer sentiment in the United States improved in June as the outlook for their personal finances and the national economy was more favorable as life resumed in parallel with the easing of measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic.
According to preliminary data from the University of Michigan’s monthly survey released on Friday, the consumer sentiment index increased by 6.6 points to 78.9 points in June. Analysts expected a worse value of 75 points. Last year, the consumer sentiment index stood at 98.2 points. (MTI)
