Euro area inflation accelerated in June
Eurozone inflation accelerated to 0.3 percent in June from a four-year low of 0.1 percent in May – Eurostat, the European Union’s statistics office announced.
A year earlier, in June 2019, euro area inflation was 1.3 percent.
Compared to the previous month, consumer prices rose 0.3 percent after a 0.1 percent monthly decline in May.
Core inflation was 0.8 percent after the 0.9 percent in May, with consumer prices within the core inflation band rising by 0.3 percent month-on-month in June, while unchanged in May. (MTI)
