The electronic management diary is available from the second half of June
From the second half of June, the electronic management log (eGN), which farmers participating in the new support system must keep, will be available on the electronic interface of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih), Agroinfom.hu said in a press release sent to MTI.
Gábor Várszegi, the director of Nébih’s agricultural genetic resources directorate, reminded on Wednesday at the online conference presenting the new system that the deadline for submitting uniform applications is June 9, 2023. and evaluating the goals of EU policies and programs, as well as supporting new support directions.
Digitization is important from several points of view
At the event, István Jakab, the Vice-President of the Parliament and the President of the Association of Hungarian Farmers’ Cooperatives and Farmers’ Cooperatives (MAGOSZ), emphasized: “In agriculture, proper adaptation to both the changing environment and EU requirements is of particular importance. In this process, the data that it is a value in itself, but it only becomes a real value when it is organized and utilized.” Gábor Várszegi added that the data obtained in this way can increase the efficiency of official interventions, and provide farmers with the opportunity to monitor their crop production events and animal husbandry activities.
Farmers have until January 31, 2024 to enter additional management data for the year 2023 after the expected activation of the entire eGN in the second half of June
Gábor Várszegi drew attention to the importance of continuous recording, on the one hand in order to ensure the accuracy of the data, and on the other hand in order to prevent the overload of the actors involved in the administration in January. The free interface, which ensures the management of eGN in digital form, will be available through the Nébih website from the second half of June, with a customer portal login – they write in the announcement.
