Consumer sentiment in the euro area has not improved in July
The euro-zone consumer sentiment index has not moved in July from the eight-month low of June, as assessed by the European Commission.
According to the data of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) published on Monday, the consumer sentiment index stagnated in July, compared to the previous month on minus 0.6 point, at an eight-month low.
Analysts expected further deterioration, minus 0.7 points for July in the 19 eurozone member states. (MTI)
