Euro area inflation rose in July
Euro area inflation rose more than expected in July, according to preliminary data from Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office.
In July, when disease control measures in Europe were largely lifted, the annual rate of increase in consumer prices in the euro area accelerated to 0.4 percent from the 0.3 percent of June.
Analysts expected a lower price rise of 0.2 percent in July. (MTI)
