MLBKT: BMI declined in July but continues to grow
The seasonally adjusted purchasing manager index (BMI) in July was 54.2 points, meaning that respondents reported more favorable processes than in the previous month – the Hungarian Logistics Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) told MTI.
The economic growth indicator is 2.7 points lower than the previous month’s 56.9 points and weakened somewhat compared to the last ten months, but it surely goes beyond the 50 point that is indicating growth. Compared to previous July, this year’s value exceeds the long-term average of July (52.7), but is lower than the average of the last three years (54.6). (MTI)
