US economic performance decreased in July
In the July survey of the S&P Global (formerly IHS Markit) economic research institute, based on preliminary data, the PMI of the manufacturing industry decreased from 52.7 points in June to 52.3 points instead of the expected 52 points. And the service industry PMI fell from 52.7 points in June to 47 points below 50 points in July, indicating a decline in performance. The average of analysts’ expectations showed a modest deterioration of 52.6 points compared to June. (MTI)
