Retail sales in the Czech Republic grew by 1.9 percent in July
In July, retail sales in the Czech Republic increased by 3 percent year-on-year and seasonal effect adjusted by 1.9 percent, after the 1.4 percent decrease of the previous month. Compared to the previous month, the growth was 1.8 percent -the Czech Statistical Office announced.
In July, sales of manufactured goods increased the most. Car sales continued to decline, by 10.5 percent.
Traffic to Internet sending services continues to grow the fastest. In July, the figure was 20.9 percent, said Marie Bousková, director of the statistical office, who added that Czech shoppers are already starting to return to traditional stores as well. (MTI, Kokes János)
