From 15 July, the place of origin of poultrymeat, sheepmeat and goatmeat in shops must be indicated
From Wednesday, in the case of poultry, sheep and goat meat offered from the counter, the country of origin must also be indicated, and in the case of vegetables and fruits sold in bulk, the Hungarian crops must be marked with a flag, István Nagy pointed out at a press conference in a Budaörs store on Monday.

The Minister for Agriculture recalled that the sale of unpackaged, fresh or chilled pork must indicate the place of origin of the animal and, if different, the place of slaughter from 15 January. From 15 July, the indication of origin information will be mandatory for new product groups: in the case of meat, the place of origin must also be indicated for sheep, goat and poultry products.
