Food labeling requirements to change from 1st July
The National Trade Association (Országos Kereskedelmi Szövetség) has informed MTI Hungarian News Agency Corp. that regulations for the indication of preservation and expiry date will change from the beginning of July.
Earlier it there were two possibilities to displax the expiry date on the products – either by choosing the year-month-day, or the day-month-year sequence. From the 1st July, solely the day-month-year sequence and day-month can be applicable. In dubious cases, the seqence has to be clarified in brackets. Packaging made before the regulation can be used until the end of this year.
