800 million HUF for next year’s school milk program
The act on the continuation of the school milk program enters into force from the 1st of January. The support can also claimed by dairy producers as well – told the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) to MTI on Wednesday. According to the Communication; in 2011, 800 million HUF will support next year’s school milk program.
Until now, in the scope of the program, only about ten percent of the children received a daily glass of milk for free in Hungary. With the new VM-regulation this scope can expand.
The school milk program started in 2004. The program contributes to children's need for protein, vitamin, mineral and energy intake, regular diets, and encourages them to follow a natural diet – reports Hír3.hu.
